Pond: Art Friends Expansion, fifty frogs illustrated by the community

Pond: Art Friends Expansion is an expansion for the deck-building game Pond. Unlike the core game, whose visual style relies entirely on the illustrator PondHQ, this expansion brings together contributions from more than twenty-five guest artists, each of whom has illustrated one of the fifty new frog cards included.

The objective remains the same as in the core game: recruit frogs to build up your deck and dominate the pond against other factions. What makes this expansion unique is its community-driven nature: originally conceived as a reward for the crowdfunding campaign, it celebrates the artistic diversity surrounding the Pond universe while significantly expanding the selection of available cards.

New recruits to shuffle directly into the shop

To incorporate the expansion into a game, simply shuffle the fifty new cards directly into the core game’s shop deck before starting. Among these cards are standard frogs, which join a player’s deck to move or fight like any other recruit, as well as Heroic Frogs—true strategic powerhouses that grant permanent abilities once recruited.

The expansion also includes crossover promotional cards featuring characters from other Brother Ming Games titles, such as Re;ACT, Forest Floor, and Underleaf.

The Same Victory Conditions, Enhanced with New Heroes

The victory conditions in Pond remain unchanged by this expansion: players continue to score points by controlling water lilies and winning battles against opposing factions.

The addition of fifty new cards offers more strategic combinations and playstyles to explore without ever altering the fundamental structure of a game.
