Welcome to 13th-century Italy, a time when wealthy patrician families built magnificent towers to represent their power and prosperity: the more influential the family, the higher the tower! You're a master builder, ready to profit from the vanity of patrician families.
You take the building orders, add floor after floor, and when a tower is finished, you're there to receive the honors. At the end of the game, the builder with the most victory points wins!
Patrician: Towers of Influence is delightfully easy to play.
Each turn, play a Building card, which allows you to add a tower to the corresponding city. Some cards allow you to perform special actions that help you or hinder others. Then take the face-up card from the pile next to the city where you've just built a tower. As the game progresses, players will continue to build the various towers, and points will be scored for who controls the tallest towers in each city, as well as for playing the patrician portrait cards. In the end, the builder with the most points wins!
When you play in pairs, you face the Architetto, a cunning bot who thwarts your plans. The optional Trade Routes and Delegates modules can be added to increase the number of decisions and affect the final score.
