Maracaibo's first major expansion features several modules and scenarios, such as pushing the predominant nations out of the Caribbean (in competitive or cooperative mode).
Other features include asymmetrical player abilities, a new optional story and legacy tiles, and new project cards. Single player fans will meet a new rival ("Jacques").

As if the life of a privateer in the Caribbean wasn't exciting enough, an ocean of new possibilities lies ahead. With new project cards, you expand existing cards, adding new effects and variety to the game.
New home ports give players individual abilities. Optionally, you can play a new campaign, with new legacy tiles and a new story (which is related to the original story, but can be played without completing the original campaign). Finally, an optional scenario allows you to push the colonial powers out of the Caribbean. And other surprises....
