Wandering Towers: The Magic Tower is the first major expansion for the board game Wandering Towers, published by Capstone Games. It introduces five modules that can be played separately or mixed and matched, changing movement, potion management, and player interaction.
The 5 modules:
- The Magic Tower: a special tower on which no other tower can be stacked. A wizard who lands on it may cast a spell for free, without spending a potion.
- Elixir Fountains: landing exactly on one lets a wizard immediately fill one of their empty flasks.
- Spiderwebs: placed over the fountains, they act as a "trampoline": the wizard immediately repeats the same number of spaces.
- The Hag: she roams the board. Trapping her under a tower fills a potion; but if she reaches your wizard, you must empty one.
- The Raven: it grants Raven Feathers, which can be spent for one of three bonuses (play a 3rd movement card, cast a spell for free, or advance a wizard 1–6 spaces).
Key features:
- Fully modular: play a single module or combine them all for more chaos.
- New interactions: the Hag, the Raven, and the fountains refresh the strategy.
- Enhanced replayability: many combinations to vary your games.
