Artefact Dealer
Even before the discovery of the Reliquary Worlds, humanity was uncovering ancient ruins and mysterious alien artefacts. A thriving trade in these items – object d’art, ritual paraphernalia, obscure trinkets – grew quickly around their discovery. The demand from private collectors and public institutions is satisfied by this shrewd merchant and his associates.
Datapeddlar
Datapeddlers are street-level informants whose local knowledge can provide any freelancer crew with a territorial advantage. With an ear to the ground, the se merchants are opportunists, always sifting street-chatter for marketable information, for an overheard command code, a juicy rumour, or a damaging indiscretion that will earn them a fortune.
Trade Baron
Under constant commercial pressure from the Merchant Houses and Trading Cartels, the Free Trade Alliance exists to represent and advocate for the Pan-Prosperity’s Sovereign Traders. It is administered by powerful Trade Alliance Barons. Democratically elected and serving limited terms, the Barons are exemplary negotiators undertaking trade missions across the Pan-Prosperity.
Water Trader
Water is as much a commodity as food in Vandestad. Some districts boast public drinking fountains, but most are dry. Water Traders satisfy this basic need and make a tidy profit from it. Some supply individuals; others provide for entire wards like Caravan Mile. A handful of merchants lace their stock with strange infusions.
