Street Performer
Some performers don’t need elaborate staging, or drone mics, or the burden of professionalism. The street is their theatre, the drifting crowd their audience. Everyone gets to see the show, even if they wanted to avoid it. Invariably loud, colourful, and boisterous, Street Performers provide an ideal distraction from the mundane.
Xenoantiquarian
Scholars of alien antiquities, Xenoantiquarians are often obsessive in their determination to uncover the mysteries of the dead civilisations, forgotten alien species, and the countless unidentified artefacts found within the galaxy. Many are drawn to Colony 87 in its capacity as a staging post for expeditions to the Reliquary Worlds.
Aesthete
The Masque are the most mysterious sentient species encountered by humanity. Apparently without exception, they show a profound scholarly interest in the arts of other sentients. An individual’s level of expertise locates them within an obscure class system among the Masque with Aesthetes belonging to the lowest caste.
Connoisseur
Mystifying, inscrutable, and mute, the Masque puzzle other intelligent species. Their fascination with the artistic expression of other cultures, and how this knowledge influences their own social hierarchies, is equally perplexing. Whatever the Masque’s preoccupations and motivations, most sentients recognise that Connoisseurs have a higher social status than Aesthetes.
