Beware of the consequences of your actions as you explore a world of myth and legend.

Steeped in epic Norse and Celtic myths and sagas, Trudvang Legends places players in the role of legendary heroes who leave their mark on a dynamic and ever-changing fantasy world.

 They will travel through a series of interlocking adventure books, and the results of their choices will be reflected in the story: changing the relationships between sovereign nations, usurping kings, creating new gateways, or even locking and unlocking parts of the map.

Change in Trudvang Legends is physically manifested by the fact that parts of the board actually change, making the actions of previous generations of heroes affect future sagas. However, the changes are only permanent as long as the story remembers them, making the game infinitely replayable. Even if you replay the same adventure book several times, the feeling will be completely different because the world itself has changed.

Heroes, following the path of fate, will even become historical figures by becoming kings, guild masters or even gods!

    Trudvang Legends est un jeu de plateau ambitieux qui tente de marier les éléments narratifs d'un jeu de rôle avec les mécaniques structurées d'un jeu de société. Produit par CMON, il plonge les joueurs dans un univers de mythologie nordique riche et évolutif, où leurs choix façonnent littéralement le monde de jeu.

    Des tests de runes remplacent les dés traditionnels, apportant une touche unique aux défis d'exploration et de combat. Cependant, malgré des idées audacieuses comme le "Système de Légendes" qui modifie physiquement le plateau, l'exécution peine à convaincre. Les tests sont souvent trop difficiles, les combats deviennent répétitifs, et le rythme de progression reste lent, frustrant les joueurs et entravant l'immersion narrative tant promise.

    Au final, Trudvang Legends divise. Son univers captivant et son mélange osé de genres séduiront certains, prêts à accepter ses défauts d'équilibrage et de fluidité. Mais pour d'autres, ses mécaniques imparfaites et son rythme erratique gâcheront l'expérience.

    Après une campagne Kickstarter mouvementée qui a duré 5 longues années, ce premier jet ne convainc que partiellement. Si le potentiel de cet univers persistant est indéniable, CMON devra peaufiner son exécution pour en faire un véritable succès durable dans le monde du jeu de société. Pour l'heure, Trudvang Legends reste une création à mi-chemin entre l'ambition et la réalisation.

    Matériel de ouf, certes. Mais au final, un jeu sympathique. Mais pas démentiel non plus.
