Compete as master architects to build the city’s highest towers

Each round, 5 cards with tower sections are revealed and you take turns bidding how many of these cards you would like to take. The person with the highest bid takes the announced number and adds them to their towers. But remember: You can only build different towers and each of them must be of the same type. In addition, the numerical values on the cards must get smaller from bottom to top. So the faster you build, the more difficult it is for you to make any bids at all. Your goal is to have the most points at the end of the game. You get 1 point for each card in your towers. You even get 2 points for each card in towers with a spire. Your highest tower also scores points, while cards that you have torn down during the game count as negative points.

5 Towers is a card game that is all about timing and the courage to strike at the right moment. Author Kasper Lapp, who is already known for numerous innovative card games such as "That's not a hat", surprises again with an unusual game mechanism that only reveals its depth over the course of the game.

Annika Heller's colorful illustrations are filled to the brim with film and game references, offering pop culture enthusiasts an additional layer of entertainment. Can you find all the references in the game?
