Salto, the animal acrosport contest not to be missed
Salto is a dexterity and tactics game published by Auzou (the "Grand Jeu" collection), designed by Romain Clement and Kevin Gauvin. The action takes place in the jungle, during a grand animal acrosport contest. The goal: build the most impressive animal pyramid to score the most points. The components stand out thanks to a small wooden springboard, used to launch the tokens.
How to play Salto
On their turn, each player chooses an Animal token and launches it using the wooden springboard. Depending on which side the token lands on (animal or star), they add it to their personal pyramid, trying to optimise their score. Watch out, though: after 4 red faces, the player loses the largest row of their pyramid, forcing real risk-taking with every throw.
End of game and victory condition in Salto
The game ends once all the tokens have been thrown. The player who has built the pyramid with the most points (stars) wins the game, for fast-paced games lasting around 15 minutes.
