Fighters of Europe is a fast-paced, simple tactical war game about World War II air battles in Europe. This expansion contains everything you need to relive the key stages of 2 major WWII air battles in Europe: the Battle of France and the Defense of the Reich, through 12 brand-new scenarios.
May 10, 1940, Germany launches its major invasion into Western Europe. Within a few weeks, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, and the British Expeditionary Force are defeated. In this time, heroic battles take place in the skies over France. The forces are uneven, but the French Air Force inflicts heavy losses on the Luftwaffe.
It’s up to you to relive the Battle of France through its 6 scenarios. The pieces on the board are set, history is in your hands.
Throughout the Second World War, Germany is the target of Allied strategic bombing. Initially of limited scale, they intensify with the entry of the USAAF and its B-17 ‘Flying Fortress’ into the war. To protect its cities and populations, the Luftwaffe must constantly adapt and innovate in an increasingly constrained economic and military context. Thus, among many others, the Focke Wulf 190A and the Messerschmitt 262 appear, intended to repel the immense fleets of B-17s. They succeed quite well at first, until the arrival of the P-51 Mustangs, which oppose them over Germany.
