Stories of the honorable Eclipse Company have permeated the military forces of the Union of Federated States in recent years.

As a predominantly air force, it was influential in land battles, naval conflicts and, in particular, air assaults.

Opinions are sharply divided. For some, they were a welcome reinforcement, arriving just in time to save the day.

For others, it was a logistical complication.

More traditional strategists were vexed by the fact that HECs operated autonomously, frustratingly looking for ways to integrate them into wider operations while still allowing them to creatively execute their orders.

Finally, some hated the seemingly "honorable" mercenaries.

These men who experienced what it was like when the paycheck ran out.

Soldiers whose last look at the HEC was one of withdrawal from battle without warning.

The contract was up, and the eyes of those unlucky enough to fight alongside them were cursed.

Fortunately for the Honorable Eclipse Company, survivors in this case were rare and few lived to spread the news.
