The prototype submersible Nautilus has been salvaged by Captain Rani Nimue, a daring and reckless privateer, at the expense of the Crown. His loyal and eclectic crew have travelled the world, and their tales of searching for legendary artefacts and fabulous treasures are the source of sad tales that captivate all who hear them. As a mercenary, the Nautilus is at the service of anyone who can afford it, even the Crown, which reluctantly has to pay for the services of its ancient submersible.
The flagship of the Canadian Atlantic Defence Fleet, HMCS Tilloch Galt distinguished herself by fighting the Imperium during its attempt on the Labrador Sea in 1873 and the Commonwealth during the Ghosts of Midwinter in 1876. She is a source of inspiration for all the fighting fleets she comes into contact with and has become a symbol of Canadian naval power. Merchant ships making the long journey between the British Isles and Canada are delighted to find themselves under the protection of Tilloch Galt and her unwavering Guardian generator array.
