Railways of the Western U.S. is an expansion for Railways of the World. Designed by Rick Holzgrafe, this expansion map uses the score track, pieces, tiles, money, trains, bonds and rules of the original game, but comes with a new map, featuring the Western half of the United States. The basic mechanics and gameplay of the original game are unchanged, as players build track and deliver goods to increase their income and earn points, but the expansion also includes new pieces and rules. These extras may optionally be used with this expansion as well as with the base game and all other expansions.

This expansion is also compatible with Railroad Tycoon.

    Ah!!! Railways!!! Ceux qui aiment les aventuriers du rail adoreront. C est plus tactique (Et plus joli). Il faut trouver le jeu railways of the world qui est le jeu de base, ceci n 'est qu'une extension mais cela permet de jouer sur toute la carte des USA. Si vous trouvez railways of north america ça rajoute le canada. Parfois cette dernière extension donne accès à des mimi extensions très sympas (Aiguillages, hotels, mines et reservoirs). Petit bémol, il faut savoir lire les cartes en anglais..ce qui peut être embêtant pour jouer avec des enfants.
