For Team L, victory lies in handing the ‘Arrest’ card to L and using it to expose Kira’s true identity. For Team Kira, victory lies in handing the *Death Note* card to Kira and using it to kill L, whilst trying to remain incognito.
Two ‘item’ cards are then dealt at random to each player, including the ‘Death Note’ and ‘Arrest’ cards, which Kira and L must use respectively to secure victory. The remaining ‘item’ cards form the draw pile. On each turn, every player draws a card and plays one of the three cards in their hand.
For Team L, victory lies in getting the ‘Arrest’ card to L and using it to reveal Kira’s true identity. For Team Kira, victory lies in getting the Death Note card to Kira and using it to eliminate L whilst trying to remain incognito.
But things won’t be that simple. Players do not know which ‘True Identity’ card the other players are holding, which means that a player playing as Kira could very well pose as L and thus get their hands on the Death Note. You’ll need to use the abilities of the ‘item’ cards, as well as your powers of deduction, to win.
