Les Griffes de la Vengeance, a PDF scenario for the role-playing game Darkrunes
This scenario takes place during the time of the Thousand Kingdoms, a few years before Ragnarok.
It is designed for 4 characters, who may be beginners. But it can be adapted to more or fewer characters.
Unjustly condemned to exile, Fridleiv Skallagrimson, brother of the Jarl of the Norsk village of Trondestad, swore revenge on all the inhabitants of his former estate.
After 10 years, at the head of a group of twenty warriors, he returns to take his revenge. He intends to spread terror among the superstitious inhabitants of Trondestad and the surrounding farms by making them believe in the presence of a wild, bloodthirsty and elusive bear. His aim is to weaken the village forces in order to push his brother to leave the protection of the village to take part in the hunt himself. That way, he will be able to kill him with his own hands, before attacking the village, looting it and burning it down.
Will the characters be able to prevent the ransacking of Trondestad?
