Far East - DUKW

The DUKW is a six-wheel-drive amphibious modification of the 2-ton CCKW truck. Used by the U.S. military during World War II and the Korean War, these trucks had a maximum speed of 50mph, making them the fastest truck in the US military at the time of manufacture.

The DUKW's name‚Äîwhich is rather fitting‚Äîis derived from manufacturer's code for a military wheeled amphibious landing-craft (D meaning 1942, U meaning utility (amphibious), K meaning all-wheel drive, W meaning two powered rear axles).

This kit allows the wheels to be removed when the DUKW is in water and replaced when on land.

Supplied unassembled and unpainted in kit form with full instructions.

Any models or accessories shown are for scale purposes only and are not included.
