The Fall of Kingdoms - Call of the Divine Expansion introduces a new, simple but extremely entertaining mechanic to the base game.
With this expansion, players can summon Divine cards in two scenarios:
- when they are attacked, or
- during their turn.
Each player can invoke the Divine up to three times per game, and this does NOT count as an action.
When invoking the Divine, the player rolls a die to determine whether it will respond. If successful, the player can choose from three stacks of Divine cards: Protection, Reinforcement, or Joker.
The effect of the chosen Divine card takes effect immediately, for better or for worse.
