Description
The Thunderverse, home to Thunder Alley, Grand Prix, and its slightly wilder little brother, Apocalypse Road. Each game has its own pace and atmosphere. But each requires specific tracks for competition.
Over time, these tracks become familiar settings at the heart of the stories. But sooner or later, players will eventually seek out and crave new challenges and varied settings. First came the Thunder Alley track pack, which introduced dirt track racing and a few legendary multi-purpose tracks. Then new tracks were created, focused on Grand Prix.
RICHEY RACEWAY - ATHENS, OHIO
A classic oval perfect for Thunder Alley, but with a few chicanes and an inside line designed to challenge Grand Prix drivers as well.
CARLA HORGER MEMORIAL SPEEDWAY - ORLANDO, FLORIDA
Not only is this a demanding road course designed to challenge both Grand Prix and Thunder Alley fans, but we’ve also slipped in an Apocalypse Road circuit within the otherwise unused turns of the track. The Carla Horger Memorial Speedway invites everyone to compete.
AUTODROME SIMARD-LALUMIÈRE - ÎLE NOTRE-DAME, QUEBEC, CANADA
The Autodrome Simard-Lalumiére is primarily a Grand Prix circuit, but it’s a good alternative for Thunder Alley. We tried to integrate an Apocalypse Road circuit into the infield, but the layout wasn’t pleasant and the visual result wasn’t appealing at all.
TRIMPERIAL RACEWAY - NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA
Trimperial Raceway was designed as an Apocalypse Road track. But its compact footprint allowed us to easily add a Thunder Alley/Grand Prix track on the outside. Sometimes, everything just falls into place perfectly.
