Black Powder Epic Battles: Waterloo - French Chasseurs

Description

His men remained loyal to him even during his exile and followed Napoleon Bonaparte from Arcola to Waterloo. The Chasseurs à Cheval de la Garde are fine light horsemen, skilled in melee combat and in harassing the enemy. Napoleon's respect for this regiment was evident as he often wore the green uniform of the Chasseurs.

Among the most colorful regiments in Europe, the Chasseurs de la Garde were more flamboyant and resourceful than their Grenadiers-a-Cheval counterparts, but they were also less disciplined and sometimes had to be ordered to salute generals or stop smoking their pipes during escorts. This earned them the undesirable nickname of "spoiled brats.

When the British and Royal German Legion cavalry met at Waterloo, several squadrons of Chasseurs approached the Allied lines and challenged their officers to single combat. Both the British and the Germans preferred discretion to valour on this occasion...

Contains four cavalry bases (with 5 riders on each) in resin, with plastic base and flag sheet.
