Magical Athlete is a racing game of pure chaos! Roll a die and move your racer that many spaces — but all the racers have wacky, game-breaking abilities. Race four times, then whoever has the most points wins!
Before the racing begins, players will draft the four racers they will have in the game and choose before each race which to use. Races alternate between the "mild" side of the board and the "wild" side of the board. A race ends once two racers have crossed the finish line — with, generally, only these two players receiving points.

Because here, each athlete has a wacky power that disrupts the race:

trip an opponent, copy another power, provoke a duel, teleport a competitor...

In this explosive and interactive racing game, victory depends not only on the dice... but above all on your timing and your sense of chaos.

How do you play?

A game consists of 4 races:

  • Put together your team of athletes.
  • Choose one for the race.
  • Roll your dice and move forward on the board.
  • Trigger (or suffer) a cascade of powers.
  • The first to finish wins a Gold Trophy, the second a Silver Medal.
  • At the end of the four races, the player with the most points wins!
  • Easy to understand? Yes. And totally unpredictable to master!

Strategic chaos

Athlètes de Compète is a dice game, but not only that!

Once the dice are rolled, the powers are triggered in a specific order, which can lead to spectacular sequences.

The  replayability is exceptional: each game is different thanks to the two different tracks, the selection of teams, the 2-3 player variants... but above all thanks to the 36 Athlete cards and their powers: 

  • Banana trips up those who pass it.
  • Duellist challenges anyone sharing their space to a duel.
  • Hypnotist teleports an opponent to their space.
  • Slime slows down all the other athletes...
  • The powers are varied and interact with each other for consistently spectacular results!
