Working together as a team, each player takes on the role of an iconic character from the Invincible comic book universe and joins the fight to protect Earth in the face of increasingly intense battles against the series’ many supervillains. Unlike most deck-building games, players of Invincible The Card Game: Guardians of the Globe never shuffle their decks, allowing you to have complete control over your own incredibly powerful combos.
In every battle, you start with a deck of cards specific to your character and a unique special ability; it’s then up to you to build your deck, recharge your power and choose your strategy wisely. Your
enemy won’t go easy on you: they’ll unleash hordes of minions to wipe you out, launch attacks to destroy the city around you and force you to adapt to their unique special abilities. Is it really that difficult? Well, all you have to do is stay alive, protect the Earth and defeat the most powerful villains in the universe.
The game can be played as a single battle or in campaign mode, featuring more than four battles that are fully customisable and expandable through the addition of heroes and villains from the numerous planned expansions. As you progress through the campaign, you’ll unlock powerful team attacks and skill combinations to strengthen your team, but your enemies won’t be sitting idly by either!
After each battle, the villains become more powerful, forcing players to constantly adapt their strategies. Battles will be chaotic, and the random turn order makes teamwork crucial in determining your team’s optimal strategy.
Players lose if their health drops to zero OR if the villain fulfils one of the specific victory conditions indicated on the villain cards.
