Earthborne Rangers

Description

Exploration in the wild!

You play the role of a Ranger, a protector of the mountain valley you find yourself in: a vast wilderness transformed by monumental feats of science and technology designed to save the Earth from destruction.

You begin by building your deck, which reflects the interests, personal history, and personality of your Ranger. Then, as you explore the open world and your story takes shape, you enrich your deck with upgraded equipment, enhanced skills, and memories of your journey.

The story of Earthborne Rangers takes the form of a multi-faceted narrative campaign, consisting of a main storyline and a multitude of side stories. In this campaign, you can choose to follow the path together or go it alone to discover the Valley's many engaging characters, mysterious ruins, and familiar yet strange beings.

Each game session represents a day in the Valley, and you pick up where you left off on the map the night before. Your objective is either to complete one of the available missions or to explore the open world. The session ends when you are forced to rest (due to fatigue or injury) or you choose to rest for the night.

An individual game session is played in several rounds, and these rounds are made up of rotations. On your turn, you perform an action: either you play a card from your hand or you choose an action from the cards on the table. Each action allows you to interact thematically and narratively with the world, and each time you take an action, the world comes alive around you. Predators stalk their prey, rain falls from the sky, rocks roll down the mountain to block your path, and much more...
