Barrage - The Colorado Connection includes a specific set located in the Colorado region and offering a new mechanic: Bridges.
The Colorado plateau features two new elements: Bridge Construction Sites and Production Facility Zones. The rivers represented on the board meander through deep canyons, creating clear physical separations between the delimited regions: the presence of Bridges built at the top of dams makes it easier to link production facilities in each region; however, a dam topped by a Bridge can no longer be raised for the rest of the game.
So choose carefully when you build them! Production Facilities are new Action slots (4 in Mountains, 3 in Hills, 3 in Plains) that can be activated by placing the required number of Engineers. Activating Production Facilities has a cost in Credits which depends on the presence or absence of Bridges along the road between the construction site (located on the left edge in the Mountains and Plains zones, and on the right edge in the Hills zone) and the Production Facility you intend to activate.
