You are the last hope to save mankind!
2357: contrary to humanity's hopes, violent astronomical events and the unregulated use of new solar extraction technology have considerably accelerated our star's growth rate over the last few decades. Today, the Sun is nearing the end of its life cycle, and its destiny, like that of all other stars in its category, is to transform into a red giant.
The result will be an exceptional increase in its volume, leading it to engulf Mercury, Venus and perhaps the Earth itself.
In the best-case scenario, the increase in volume will not lead to the destruction of our planet, but life as we know it would have already been destroyed by the radiation and dramatic rise in surface temperatures.
Our only hope, as humans, is to build a colossal interstellar spaceship that would enable some of us to evacuate to a new Earth, located within the star system, during our search for viable extrasolar planets.
However, such a project is far from simple: the resources we need cannot be found on our planet, and the few made available by solar extraction technology are still insufficient. The only way to complete this monumental task is to harvest the necessary materials directly from the other planets in our solar system.
Each player will lead a nation with the aim of becoming the first contributor in the interstellar ship race. If mankind is to be saved, the nation deemed to be the biggest contributor will have the honor of guiding humanity.
