In a fantasy world where raw magic is extracted from the earth like fossil fuel - unsustainably, dangerously and for the profit of death-cult billionaires - you're a member of the Black Shields: an order of anti-extraction resistance fighters.
The Shields aren't afraid to get their hands dirty. You've blown up a pipeline before, and you'd gladly do it again because you care about the future. It's not a question of whether raw magic will escape from pipelines and cargo ships to turn local wildlife into bloodthirsty abominations, but when.
By car! After destroying a pipeline and/or a lich, group members flee from more enemies than they can count. To complicate matters, their Central American comrades are calling for help. Hijack a barge, hop aboard a hovertrain or ride a horse to avoid capture by state thugs, shapeshifting monsters and giant wasps.
Remember: it's all about the journey and the mining infrastructure you'll blow up along the way.
