In hell, he was given the title of Jester King for the entertainment he provided to the demons as his corporeal form danced on the material plane, causing chaos with every rash decision.
And now they wake up here
Forgotten by themselves
But fame
But the fun doesn't have to stop.
One last dance, as hell watches the jester king stumble to remember his actions and perhaps, after an eternity of time, begin to repent.
You, dear player, are not the Jester King. You are not playing the Jester King, but you are observing him and documenting his journey. Write the story after each step, each roll of the dice, and each turn of the card. You may hate and despise them after you finish the game. They may not deserve any absolution.
The Jester Kings Dance is a dark and brutal game about unraveling the mystery of who they are and what terrible deeds they have done in their lives that have earned them the title of Jester King. However, it is ultimately up to you where you want the story to go.
If you find yourself in too dark a place, or if you no longer like the direction the story is taking, you can stop, go back and try something else, or walk away from the game altogether.
