Playable from ages 10 to roughly 1999, it requires 1 to 5 Princesses and a Game Master, who brings fairy tale princesses to life using their magic and guides them through thrilling dangers and incredible adventures! Are you up to the challenge?

In Périls & Princesses, you will play Princesses setting off on an adventure! With the help of the Gifts and inner magic revealed to you by your Fairy Godmothers, you will have to overcome many dangers, solve mysteries, and face strange creatures straight out of fairy tales...

The princesses you play can count on their baskets of treats, their trusty hatchets and their hidden talents to help them on their way. The gifts from their fairy godmothers will allow them to summon animals from the woods, sing enchanting songs or connect with the elements of nature, all while fighting hard to survive the dangers that await them.

If you're a fan of Grimm and Perrault fairy tales, animated princess films, and classic storybooks in which fearless heroes and heroines use determination and intelligence to embark on fantastic adventures, then Perils & Princesses is the perfect RPG for you!

In the 128-page book, you'll find:
  • A simple rule system that is user-friendly for newcomers, while remaining rich in atmosphere for veterans looking for a new world to explore.
  • Eight classes of Princesses with a wide range of abilities directly linked to fairy tales. Depending on the gift you received from your Fairy Godmother, you may have an enchanting voice, an animal companion, or a connection to the elements that helps you overcome the dangers that await you.
  • Random tables allow you to create Princesses and equip them with adventuring gear, fairy tale trinkets, enchanted relics, or unique weapons.
  • A bestiary filled with Putrid Goblins, Witches, Dragons, Trolls, Fairies, and Unicorns that GMs can throw at the Princesses.
  • GM tools and tables to quickly improvise encounters, treasures, NPCs, and all the little details that will bring your fantasy world to life.
  • The essential rules summarised on two pages for quick reference during the game. 
  • The introductory adventure ‘The Rosewood Crown’ with a complete story, plot hooks and a dungeon crawl to kick off your adventure, whether it's a one-shot or a starting point for a more epic campaign. Easy-to-follow instructions help GMs organise the session with minimal preparation. 
  • The adventure ‘The Sweet Escape’ is a short adventure designed for a group of 2 to 5 level 2 Princesses. It invites the Princesses to sneak into a witch's tower to organise a daring rescue before the witch returns and they need to be rescued themselves.
In this PDF, you will also find the 3 adventure maps in high-definition A4 format and the character sheet in A4 format in ‘classic’ or ‘fill-in’ mode.
