A MAN DIES THREE TIMES IN ONE NIGHT!
That’s the startling front-page headline in the Times in London. The lifeless bodies of three men with the same identity were discovered last night in a room at the Chelsea Arms Hotel. They were killed in the same way: stabbed in the heart. Then, a dear friend is severely burned in a fire at his home. And after a strange summons to a secret meeting, the investigators embark on a journey spanning thousands of kilometers aboard a legendary train, all the way to the gates of the East: Constantinople.
TERROR ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS is a massive, legendary campaign featuring up to nineteen adventures for the role-playing game Call of Cthulhu. Starting in 1920s London, the investigators travel to Paris, and from there to the ancient city of Constantinople. With a little luck, they’ll eventually make it home.
Optional episodes set in earlier eras or other locations—the Roman Empire, the Middle Ages, the Victorian era, and the Realm of Dreams—allow players to experience pivotal moments in the campaign’s history and uncover crucial elements of the story. You’ll also find a contemporary epilogue, an alternate ending for a shorter campaign, and a survival guide for investigators in trouble.
It’s important to note that Volume II is essential to fully enjoy the campaign. It allows investigators to continue their journey to Venice, Constantinople, and even an epilogue set in the present day.
The Traveler’s Companion is also available; it offers detailed supplementary information on all the points of interest investigators will encounter along their route, as well as pre-filled character listings, maps, and other resources to make this adventure a unique and unforgettable experience.
To use this supplement, you’ll need at least one copy of the Keeper’s Handbook for Call of Cthulhu and, optionally, the Pulp Cthulhu supplement, available separately.
