Delve into the heart of Gévaudan and lead the hunt to discover the Beast's lair before your rivals.

Each turn, players analyze the Footprint tokens to determine if the Beast has passed through one of the four terrain categories—River, Town, Forest, or Dragon Patrol.

The clues collected allow them to confirm or rule out terrain tiles in order to gradually locate its lair.

The first player to set their trap on the exact location wins the King's bounty... unless the Beast is the big winner.

Gévaudan - Sur les Traces de la Bête offers a Standard mode, ideal for discovering the mechanics and learning the game, and a Historical mode, for the full Gévaudan hunting experience.

Between 1764 and 1767, the Gévaudan region was the scene of a series of mysterious attacks attributed to a ferocious creature, larger and faster than a wolf. Despite the hunts led by peasants, nobles, and the royal army, the Beast long eluded its hunters. From Marie-Jeanne Vallet to Jean Chastel, several figures claimed to have killed it, without ever fully revealing its origin.

Even today, the mystery remains: was it a fearsome animal, a human conspiracy, or a legend born of fear?

  • Faithful to the legend and history of the Beast of Gévaudan
  • Original and immersive deduction mechanics
  • Constant tension thanks to the Beast's movements
  • Excellent replayability with two game modes: Standard and Historical
  • A solo mode
  • Accessible to all: a game where even children can win!
