Les Gardiens de l'Éther - Boîte de base is set in a retro-futuristic world where ancient technology resurfaces and disrupts the spiritual balance. Players take on the role of Shamans bonded to Guardians, supernatural entities from other dimensions, tasked with restoring balance between the human world and the spirit world.
A dice duel, from d4 to d12, shaped by your ethereal energy
The resolution system in Les Gardiens de l'Éther - Boîte de base relies on simultaneously rolling a Shaman die and a Difficulty die, the latter ranging from d4 to d12 depending on the action's complexity. The action succeeds if the player's die equals or exceeds the difficulty die.
Players can sacrifice part of their ethereal energy to lower that difficulty, representing their Guardian's direct intervention in the attempted action.

Les Gardiens de l'Éther - Boîte de base offers a ready-to-play experience with a core rulebook covering rules, setting, and scenarios, miniatures and bases representing characters and Guardians, dedicated boards for conflict phases, two dice sets (Shaman and Difficulty), interactive character sheets, and resource tokens to manage ethereal energy and stats (vitality, mental, etc.).
The system, designed to be simple and intuitive, requires no prior role-playing experience.
