In Course à l'Étoile! your goal is simple: to transform your modest restaurant into a Michelin-starred establishment. To achieve this, you need to enrich your menu with tasty dishes, embellish your premises with meticulous decoration and recruit a talented team to ensure impeccable service. At the end of each round, you earn money based on the dishes served in your establishment. At the end of each round, you earn money based on the number of dishes served in your restaurant. Born under a lucky star
Each player starts the game with a Star Card, which sets the objective to be reached in order to win. This card defines the number of points you must accumulate in the following categories: cuisine, service, decoration and fame. It's up to you to decide which cards are the best to buy, so that you can progress as quickly as possible, and hope to shine in the firmament of gastronomy. Thanks to the income generated at the end of each round, you'll need to invest in the right cards to accumulate enough points quickly.
Putting your foot in it
In the cut-throat world of the restaurant business, anything goes when it comes to slowing down your competitors. Thanks to Action Cards, you can sabotage your opponents' efforts by, for example, sending rats into their kitchens, giving them a bad review, or stealing their best employee. These cards can be played at just the right moment to break a dynamic and put a damper on the plans of an over-ambitious competitor. But beware, anyone can retaliate with a well-placed parry. You'll need to play with finesse and anticipation to prevent your own restaurant from being harmed.
Each of your choices will influence your points or winnings. So it's up to you to make the right ones! Especially when your competitors are laying the most devious traps to hinder your progress.
