Embark on an epic journey to reach the sands of Mahdia, a pirate fortress on the shores of North Africa! Is your army strong enough to break through its walls? The Destinies - Mer de Sable expansion comes with three scenarios that form a campaign that should be played in the suggested order. We recommend playing the whole campaign with the same group of players, but this is not mandatory. Scenarios are linked together, and each unveils the next steps of a bigger plot, but each scenario is a separate story, and knowing previous scenarios should not give a player any unfair advantage.

Mer de Sable also adds new dungeon and maze mechanisms, alongside the use of "sub-maps" to represent the vast distances of the Saharan desert and the locations players will visit.

    Certaines épreuves nécessiteront de vous y préparer en acquérant ou dépensant certains objets ou simplement en attendant d’avoir suffisamment de dés effort pour vous lancer dans l’épreuve. Ca peut donner un sentiment de longueur et un peu trop de dirigisme à la partie. Mais le grand avantage est que chaque scénario se boucle en une partie de 2h30 environ. Le jeu ne les tire pas en longueur inutilement et on n’a pas le temps de s’en lasser. On profite pleinement du plongeon dans le thème, de l’aventure et des différents choix qui s’offrent à nous le tout aidé par une app qui a trouvé sa juste place: pas trop présente tout en remplaçant avantageusement un maître du jeu devenu inutile.
