Trench Crusade – The Golden Seal (A4) is an official backdrops book for the Trench Crusade universe, published by Handiwork Games (in collaboration with Factory Fortress, creators of the game). It is the second volume in the series, following Visions of War.
It is neither a rulebook nor a narrative art book: it is a hobby accessory designed specifically to serve as a background for photographing and displaying your miniatures.
Where Visions of War focuses on landscapes and battlefields, The Golden Seal takes a more esoteric and arcane direction. The book gathers 32 full-page painted backdrops: faction emblems and heraldry, occult sigils and symbols, "grimoire"-style thematic frames, abstract textures, and arcane backgrounds. The illustrations are by the game's core artists (Mike Franchina, Viktor Pushkarev, Jon Hodgson, Paul Bourne).
Its wiro (metal spiral) binding lets the book lay perfectly flat or fold back on itself, making it easy to set up a backdrop behind your miniatures.
Key features:
- 32 full-page painted backdrops: emblems, sigils, frames, and esoteric textures.
- Wiro (spiral) binding: lays flat or folds back, ideal for photography.
- Quality print: heavy 250gsm paper with a silk finish, low-glare.
- Official art: illustrations by the game's artists.
