The king is dead. Long live the king! But the son is betrayed by his uncle who seizes the crown with the help of foreigners. Such is the destiny of Scotland in the 12th century. Act 1 begins with a murder. Which is only the façade of many other personal and diplomatic issues! Camps and their struggles are revealed, opening up Act 2, in which local intrigues give way to the events of history and its figures. Then comes the time of war and conquest. In Act 3, frontal combat gives way to more stealthy struggles, both in words and in arms, and to a most decisive conclusion for Scotland.
