Subbuteo is a flick game: you have to move the player by propelling him only with your index finger nail. You are not allowed to use your thumb to stabilize your hand or touch the ball with any other part of your hand. By tapping your fingernail on the right or left side of the player's base, you will be able to make them swerve to get around an opponent who is marking your player. When you are the attacking team, you must keep the ball by dribbling and passing.

Propel one of your players with your index finger to make contact with the ball. If your player touches the ball, you get to start over. If you miss the ball, the other team becomes the attacking team and you become the defender.

When the other team attacks, you can try to block the path between a player and the ball with one of your players.
