In the first game, a matching game, each player rolls the dice, names the ingredient shown, finds it on the plate and slips it into the pot to win the corresponding token. If the ingredient isn’t there, it’s time to stir the soup!
The second game, a memory game, encourages children to remember which ingredients are hidden in the pot, then to check by lifting the lid.
As they play, children recognise colours and shapes, and develop their fine motor skills and language. And as the cooking theme lends itself so wonderfully to free play, the pot quickly becomes the centre of a thousand culinary games.
My First Games – Little Dino Cooks is ideal for role-play and imaginative play.
