In Après-vous, be courteous and make sure your respectable opponents have the opportunity to play!

At the start of each round, the player holding the Etiquette Token has the honor of opening the round by stating a rule based on a card characteristic. Each player must then play a card from their hand that matches the rule and, if applicable, trigger the associated effects. However, if a player cannot play a matching card, they must politely excuse themselves, reveal their hand, and receive a Courtesy Token.

And remember: always remain polite whenever you make a request—any request—to another player. If someone notices a lack of manners, they may reward you with a card from the draw pile!
