Aetherya II - La Genèse is a particularly interactive tile-laying game. On a player's turn, if he has two land tiles in hand, he must lay down one of them to complete the lands already in place. He then claims a piece of land by placing one of his cubes on a region (made up of squares of the same type).
It is forbidden to claim land belonging to another player. The number of squares claimed is transferred to the corresponding land track.
If a player claims 3 forest squares, his forest cursor will move up 3 squares on the corresponding track, which may earn him a tribe or other token that he can then place on the land thus formed to score points. There are, of course, special conditions for laying.
