The story:

Kroc is a poor, rather atypical goblin: the fruit of the union between a goblin and a Muse, he inherited his mother's beauty (hence his nickname of “Bô”), intelligence (of little use, except to appreciate his sad condition), and an indestructible life point (which forbids him to leave this valley of tears).

Kroc evolves in the merciless “Dede's World”, where adventurers (generally aggressive Grosbills) will do anything to amass wealth and experience, ravaging the dungeons they constantly explore, while the monsters, some of whom are kind and peaceful, are forced to fulfill their part of the contract by guarding treasures “carelessly” laid here and there.

In the course of his adventures, Kroc keeps running away from his fellow monsters, but usually ends up with a bump on the head.
