The dice game QWINTO, which follows in the footsteps of the bestseller Qwixx, has had loyal fans for 10 years now. This deserves to be honoured appropriately. To celebrate this year’s anniversary, QWINTISSIMO is the very first variant block for the game Qwinto.
Nothing has changed in the basic game. The aim is to fill the three colour rows with numbers ascending from left to right by rolling the dice. The same number may not appear twice within a column. All three colour dice can be used in one roll, but not necessarily. The active player decides this anew each turn. QWINTISSIMO now adds three new elements that add exciting tactical nuances to a game. The empty spaces in the colour rows take on special significance with “Courage to leave a gap!”. If the fields to the left and right of the gap are filled with numbers, the difference between the two values counts as bonus points.
With the second element “Only me!”, the rule is almost self-explanatory from the title. The active player may claim the result rolled once per game for themselves alone, the rest go away empty-handed. The third element “Multiples” introduces a special rule for incorrect rolls. If a number is rolled incorrectly several times, the usual minus points are converted into plus points. The more times this happens with a number, the higher the plus at the end. QWINTISSIMO with all its variations is the perfect opportunity to get to know Qwinto again or for the first time. Its quickly explained, catchy roll & write mechanism ensures that it’s often not just one round.
