Haru Ichiban

Description

Immerse yourself in the poetic world of Haru Ichiban, a strategy game where every move brings out the beauty of spring.

Haru Ichiban is Japanese for “the first wind of spring”. In the emperor's gardens, spring gradually awakens nature.

Carp, frogs and dragonflies warm up under the first rays of sunshine.

Two apprentice gardeners are competing for the coveted position of imperial gardener.

They'll have to demonstrate their skills and try to take advantage of the first breeze of spring to make the water lilies bloom in their own color and create the most harmonious combinations.

How to play

Each turn, players choose a flower numbered from 1 to 8. The player with the lowest value places a water lily, while the player with the highest can influence the “First Wind of Spring” (Haru Ichiban) to change the layout of the garden.

With tactical choices and subtle anticipation, players adapt their strategy to maximize their points and take control of the garden. Fast-paced and elegant, Haru Ichiban blends reflection and poetry in an immersive, strategic duel.

  •     1 first player token

  •     16 water lilies
