"En temps de guerre" (In Times of War) is a level 3 to 6 sandbox adventure offering a ready-to-use game setting.
It has now been several weeks since the goblinoid horde crossed the western mountains to pillage the Two Borders, a small piece of land wedged between the sylvan elven kingdom of Andranel and the pastures of the barony of Péllade.
Weeks of skirmishes, bloody battles, and pillaging have ravaged the region. The town of Gontière, partially destroyed, has been abandoned by almost its entire population. Dozens of small villages have fallen into the hands of the orcs. Thousands of refugees are fleeing along the roads, abandoning the smoking ruins of their ransacked homes.
The alliance of elves and humans is supposed to present a united front against the invader, but the task is daunting: Baron Casalus has still not counterattacked, putting the entire region in danger. The promise of hidden treasures and adventures attracts the greed of adventurers of all kinds.
