Oreste One is a science-fiction role-playing game that places humanity on the cusp of joining the largest known coalition in the universe. To face the Seths, a mysterious and ruthless race that appears to have established itself throughout the galaxy, our only chance of survival is to join the Alliance of the Aligned Worlds.
Whilst the characters’ main quest is to gather information to learn more about the Seths, Oreste will above all lead you to discover and interact with other forms of life. Each race of the Aligned Worlds has its own culture, technology and unique biology. One of the principles of Oreste is to introduce this universe to players and their characters simultaneously. So, when creating your first player character, you will take on the role of a human who has just arrived at the Oreste station. But humans in the 22nd century are somewhat different from those of the 21st, as transhumanism has changed the game…
The first part of *Oreste – The Aligned Worlds* traces the evolution of humanity up to the 22nd century and concludes with the Seths’ attack and humanity’s entry into the intergalactic community of Oreste.
The second part explores the history of the four other peoples of our galaxy, from the primordial waters to the creation of Oreste, and concludes with the integration of the human empire into the Aligned Worlds.
The third part, *The Book of the Seths*, is a true narrative cornerstone; reading it sheds new light on the entire series of stories. Please note: this is strictly for Game Masters only, as it reveals all the secrets of this universe… It stands as a work of literature in its own right, so I am also offering it as an audiobook – support that enhances immersion in the universe and allows Game Masters to explore it whilst travelling!
