Light Speed Arena is a fast-paced game of interstellar combat that requires fast reflexes and skilful precision. Over multiple 10-second rounds, players will simultaneously place their spaceship tiles freely in a defined area on the table. The goal is to quickly position the weapons and shields of the tile being placed to cause the most damage to their opponents while also protecting their own ships from incoming laser blasts. The arena will grow more chaotic as it fills with enemy ships, asteroids, and threats from all sides. Who can aim accurately, collect minerals and score the most points in the end?
After all ships have been placed, players use the accompanying app to instantly scan the playing field, capturing the exact positions and orientation of everything on the table. Damage is automatically recognized and tracked, in addition to destroyed ships and any resources collected from asteroids. With the Scan&Play mechanic, players will see the results straight away on the screen, so there's no need for time-consuming end-game scoring. Whoever has the most points in the end will wow the crowd and leave the arena as the winner!
