Description

Hepta: dominate the 7x7 grid in this abstract geometric duel

Created by renowned designer Alex Randolph and refined by publisher Playte, Hepta is a game of logic and placement centered on the number seven. Featuring a seven-by-seven grid and carefully crafted wooden pieces, the game provides a minimalist experience where every spatial choice counts. Its modern design makes it both pleasant to handle and visually appealing on the table. The game features:
  • Craftsmanship using durable wooden components.
  • Two distinct play modes, providing great versatility for two-player or solo play.
  • Immediate tactical depth requiring only minutes to learn.

Hepta: block your opponent in this tactical tile-placement game

Hepta offers two distinct ways to play on the grid, tailored to your gaming mood:
  • Two-player duel mode: Players take turns placing straight or L-shaped blocks on the grid. After setting neutral obstacles, the goal is to corner the opponent until they can no longer make a legal move.
  • Solo puzzle mode: The board displays seven different colors across the grid. The player must arrange fourteen pieces leaving only the seven spaces of a chosen color visible, offering seven levels of difficulty.

Hepta: victory conditions and puzzle solving

In competitive mode, the game ends as soon as a player cannot legally place a piece on the board. The last player to place a block wins the duel. In solo mode, the challenge is completed once all pieces cover the grid according to the selected color constraints. Hepta is an essential piece for fans of cerebral minimalist games, combining physical elegance with mental agility.
