Psi World IV - Causes and Effects of War: two complete adventures for use with the Psi World game system.

Causes and Effects of War can be used as a sequel to the events described in The Underground Escape Network or as a completely standalone adventure. This book contains the following:

• Casus Belli: The anti-psi government of the Confederation attempts to use an apparent psionic attack on a diplomatic mission as a declaration of war. Investigations are needed to determine what lies behind this if a war between the Confederation and the more liberal Free State is to be avoided.

• Rearguard: When the Confederation finally launches its invasion of the Free State, psionic personnel are mobilized to try to slow the Confederate advance. Time must be gained for the Free State to gather its forces and for its allies to arrive to give it a chance of survival. This forces small bands of psionics to carry out military missions to defend their refuge in the region.

Psi World IV - Causes and Effects of War is a supplement containing two adventures that can be played as a continuation of the previous ones and are intended for a group playing psi characters.

The Confederation has always sought a ‘legal’ means, a casus belli, to attack the Free State. An attack carried out, according to the official version, by psis could give them the justification they need. But is this attack real or a set-up?

In the second scenario, this attempted invasion does take place! The characters are given various military missions to delay the Confederation troops as long as possible, to give the independent states time to organize their defense.
