Presents for younger brothers and sisters? This was always a challenge for Mr. Playwood. Seeing that he devotes all his time to inventing and designing, he regularly forgets about other important things. For example, what exactly did he gift someone or who did he present those gifts to. Or the exact birthday dates. Naturally, such absent-mindedness leads to resentment from relatives and it is most displeasing.
So, one day Mr. Playwood came up with a solution to this problem: he would have to create a gift for all his brothers and sisters at the same time. Thus was designed the Magical Merry-Go-Round.
“What’s so magical about it?”, would you ask. Well, first of all, it’s embedded in the Merry-Go-Round’s design. It starts spinning only when you pronounce a magical word. Depending on the exact word, the Merry-Go-Round rotates clockwise or counterclockwise. And if you put a drop of magical peanut oil on its gears, the device will begin playing music of extraordinary beauty.
Amongst the animals set on the Merry-Go-Round, there’s a unicorn and a winged elephant. These are most common creatures around the Great Tree. However, a fish perched on the Merry-Go-Round’s roof is something else entirely. How did it get there? Even nowadays, very few people are aware that the flying fish inhabiting the ocean that engulfs the roots of the Great Tree are able to fly to its highest branches.
So, by and large, the Magical Merry-Go-Round did not fail expectations. Both Mr. Playwood and all his relatives were happy. And peace in the family is key.
