Escape from Projekt Riese is the standalone sequel to Escape from Stalingrad Z. It is a single-player/cooperative tactical combat campaign game set during the terrible zombie outbreak of World War II. The year is 1943, and you find yourself in a secret underground Nazi base located somewhere beneath the Owl Mountains. Your heroes are the survivors of an Allied strike team fighting to complete their crucial mission. Meet and extract the spy, the eccentric genius, and the resistance cell who helped them.
Then, on your way out, blow everything up. At stake: a cure for the zombie outbreak and a chance to finally tip the scales in favor of the free world. Your heroes must work together to find the best path forward, with each scenario offering them multiple options for how to proceed.
Players' choices determine the fate of their heroes, for better or for worse. The game unfolds through a series of interconnected scenarios, a campaign with multiple possible endings. The results and events of each campaign scenario influence the start of the next, creating a continuous, evolving story.

In these labyrinthine rooms beneath a Templar fortress, the products of the Ahnenerbe's experiments and the recently resurrected dead, hungry for new bodies to swell their ranks, lurk in the corridors. It is up to you to decide whether your heroes survive or perish.
Your choices and tactical skills will be put to the test, as will the ingenuity of your heroes. The survival of each of your unique combat specialists depends on your ability to conserve resources and exploit the weaknesses of the zombies. You'll need to choose your tactics wisely; sometimes stealth is more important than firepower.
You may fail in your first attempt to escape, but with experience and proven tactics, you will progress toward the victory that the free world needs.
