Circadians: First Light Second Edition

We were light years from home, galaxies away, when we discovered this ancient celestial body - a planet filled with intriguing, intelligent life forms not so different from our own. Some built kingdoms beneath the surface of green seas, while others controlled desert plains and cliffs. Among them, we found scientists, inventors, farmers, traders and fighters. Although our presence was unsettling for some, we had very few incidents with the local population.

Yet we Circadians, the famous explorers of Earth, must do what we can to ensure peace. We must respect this world and its hosts. The Moontide heads transmitted orders from on high. We will open negotiations with the three clans, in the hope of gaining their favor, as well as our own safety on the planet. We also need to collect organic samples for deposition on Moontide. This is new territory for all of us, but we need to be brave and resourceful. The future of the Circadians depends on it.

The aim of Circadians: First Light Second Edition is to lead a team of researchers on the planet Ryh. Players must manage their team (in the form of dice) to visit different parts of the planet for trade, agriculture, construction and research. Players score points for negotiating with locals, harvesting resources for the depot, improving their research base, exploring the planet, and collecting gems. The game is played over eight rounds. At the end of the final round, the player with the most points wins.

This second edition includes updated graphics and some game components.
