The feud between rival houses has spilled out into the Jwar Isles' larger conflicts and both families are calling on their allies to engage their foes. A cousin from the great Ito clan, at first his arrival heralded by celebra- tion, a sign that one of the major clans will aid the Kiyozumi cause. Sadly he has done nothing but drain the coffers and exploit his status to drink and have fun at the expense of the small town. His two servants scramble to satisfy his every whim, often at the expense of the locals. Daihanji meanwhile has sought fighting men. His old reliable gunso, now his only Ashigaru, has come back to fight from retirement. He has long been enjoying civilian life but heeded the call when his master needed to fight. From the other side of Daihanji's life comes Tozoku, a bandit leader he defeated in his youth, now sworn to serve when needed. Tozoku still lives in the wilderness beyond the town but owes his life to the family and comes in their hour of need.
